Pop star Lady Gaga has waved off criticisms of the meat outfit she wore last week, insisting it was nothing but fun fancy dress.
The singer sparked controversy at last week's MTV Video Music Awards after she turned up in a dress that was actually made of raw cuts of beef.
Animal rights groups insisted it was cruel, but Lady Gaga has since defended her outfit, pointing out that it is not really any different to utilising other animal products.
Talking at a gig in Philadelphia, she said: "What's everyone's big problem with my meat dress? Next time, I'll wear a tofu dress and the soy milk police will come after me."
According to Vanity Fair, the Poker Face hitmaker once prayed to God to make her crazy in a bid to be more creative.
That goes a long way towards explaining her steak fancy dress then! We just dread to think how it smelt…
