A brave cancer survivor is to this year run her fourth marathon - and she is hoping to raise money by sporting fun fancy dress as she does it.

Tina Grist, 39, will be taking part in the 2011 London Marathon again, but she has also completed the Paris version of the event in the past, the Burton Mail reports.

The April race will mark three years since she was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but she is now in remission and wants to raise money for the Burton CT Scanner Appeal.

Ms Grist has revealed she will be wearing Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz fancy dress to generate plenty of funds.

"I'm hoping to raise £1,000 in total. I just want to raise as much as I can," she commented.

According to Cancer Research UK, ovarian is the fifth most common type of the disease for women in Britain, so let's hope Ms Grist gets plenty of sponsors!
