International Talk Like a Pirate Day Shiver me timbers! Did you know that September nineteenth is International Talk like a Pirate day?! It’s the only day of the year when you’re entitled to tell your boss to walk the plank and yell “Yarrr!!!” at random strangers in your best Black Beard voice, whilst swigging copious amounts of rum. If those options don’t float your boat, then here are 5 other ways to celebrate this day, you land lubbin’ scoundrels!  

#1 - Get social media savvy!

Shake up your social media and immerse yourself in the deep end of pirate lingo by changing your language to Pirate speak! How to: Once logged into your Facebook, scroll to the bottom of the home page. #2 - Visit a ship!

If you’re not able to get to the coast for the day, why not go to a pub on the Thames, The Tattershall Castle! Moored opposite the London Eye, you can stretch your sea legs while enjoying a pint! #3 - Study some Scallywags

Sit ye’ self down and watch a swashbuckling film! What better way to celebrate this day than to reacquaint yourself with your favourite seadogs! #4 - DRINK!

Drink rum and be merry! Unless you’re under 18... Then create a simple ocean water drink (It tastes better than it sounds, we promise!): oceandrinkIngredients: - 3 tbsp Water - 3 tbsp Sugar - 1 tsp Coconut Extract - 4 drop Blue Food Color - Cans of Sprite - Ice Method: - Combine the water with sugar to microwave in a bowl. - Microwave the mixture for 30 to 45 seconds to create a simple syrup. - Allow mixture to cool, then add the coconut extract and blue food coloring. - Mix well. - Add ice and Sprite into a glass then pour the syrup over.
