Leicester City Council's Lynn Wyeth kindly wrote back to the unnamed person and admitted the conurbation does not have any contingency plans for this kind of event. James Dixon, 26, got wind of the correspondence and, thinking it was hilarious, decided to make a political point by rounding up all his pals on Twitter and getting them to dress up as zombies. They then went on a "shamble" around the city centre, pressing their face up against office windows and generally startling lots of people. "A few of us are in the pub now - it's been a really good day," said Mr Dixon afterwards.
