Calling all Ghostbusters fans! The reboot has been officially announced and the cast is looking particularly exciting! This reboot is set to be an all female cast, staring the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig as well as Saturday Night Live superstars; Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon!
The movie is set to be filmed the summer in New York, with a release date July 22'nd 2016. It’s being directed by Paul Feig, who has directed the infamous Bridesmaids, The Heat and also produced legendary episodes of The Office & Freaks and Geeks!The Ghostbusters reboot has suffered an extremely long development process. The original director Ivan Reitman was said to be working on the movie, but while original cast-members Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson had agreed to reprise their characters, Bill Murray did not wish to appear in the movie. Reitman was next to pull out of the project, then of course Ramis sadly passed away. Following Reitman's departure, Feig was approached to direct and re-conceived the project as a reboot starring an all-female cast.
