The Isle of Wight will be transformed into a mecca for lovers of fairy tale fancy dress this weekend, as Bestival is taking place.
Known for its emphasis on fun and fancy dress as well as cutting-edge music, the annual four-day event has chosen "fantasy" as its costume theme this year.
Making the announcement earlier this year, Bestival organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank suggested festival-goers should consider outfits inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings, King Arthur and other fantastical tales.
"The only limit is how far your mind's eye can see," he added.
Peter Pan fancy dress could therefore be on the agenda for some of the revellers heading to the Isle of Wight's Robin Hood Country Park this weekend.
As well as the many weird and wonderful costumes, Bestival attendees can look forward to music from the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem and Ellie Goulding.
The xx, who won the 2010 Mercury Prize for their debut album earlier this week, will also be performing.
