Disney fancy dress was at the heart of the recent Sadberge Summer Festival, which took place on Saturday at various venues around the village.
One of the key attractions was the children's parade, which had the fancy dress theme of Disney's Fantasia, reports the Northern Echo.
The newspaper's editor Peter Barron, who opened the annual gathering, handed out prizes to the best-dressed children at the parade.
Winner of the under-fives category - and dressed as a snowflake fairy - Charley Heseltine told the paper: "It was lots of fun."
"I enjoyed being in the parade," she added.
Mr Barron said he was amazed by the amount of effort put into organising the annual event - and the time that people spent creating their fancy dress costumes.
Money raised from the event will go to local causes - such as the upkeep of the village hall.
