David Walliams is no stranger to putting on funny fancy dress to elicit a laugh or two - and he's surely amused readers of Heat magazine with his latest outrageous stunt.
The Little Britain star was snapped wearing a bridesmaid's dress remarkably similar to the one that Pippa Middleton wore at April's royal wedding between Prince William and her sister Kate.
With his 6'3" muscular frame and hirsute arms, it's perhaps somewhat difficult to mistake him for pretty Pippa!
Walliams - who is married to model Lara Stone - told Heat: "She looked great in her dress and the next day she was an international superstar. And we've never heard her say anything!"
Other costumes that Walliams has tried on include a naval captain ensemble at a birthday party thrown by Natalia Imbruglia in 2009. He also told the Times that year that he dressed up as the Queen for a school production while he was a teenager.
More recently, he joined fellow comedians Catherine Tate, John Bishop, Alan Carr and James Corden to form Fake That, a Take That tribute act, in aid of Comic Relief this year.
He carried off his impersonation of Robbie Williams rather well, although he admitted that it was exhausting keeping it up for the whole of Red Nose Day.
"We had to do all the dance moves. But when Take That did it they were like 22 - I'm 39, and I just thought: 'I can't handle this'," he said.
