X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has his work cut out trying to referee the warring panel of judges, so it's nice to see him letting his hair down in fun fancy dress.

The presenter put on a costume to take part in his annual photo shoot for Heat magazine, which sees him dress up as one of the contestants each time the competition hots up, the Daily Mail reports.

This time around, Dermot posed as controversial Brazilian contestant Wagner Carrilho, complete with a blonde wig and a tight white suit.

Commenting that he enjoys getting into costume each year, Dermot joked of his alter ego: "I've never felt like such a man."

Poor old Wagner has been drawing boos from the crowds at The X Factor's live shows of late, particularly since singers like Treyc and Aiden have been given the boot even though they repeatedly gave better performances than him.

The public just can't get enough of the former lion tamer, it seems.
