He may have been part of a disastrous World Cup campaign, but John Terry forgot his football woes this week by wearing pirate fancy dress.

The 29-year-old defender took his wife Toni and their four-year-old twins to the Magic Kingdom at Orlando's Disney World and really got involved in the fun.

He sported a fake scar across one cheek and blacked-out eyes as he gamboled happily with his daughters Georgie and Summer.

At one stage, he also made a valiant attempt at getting King Arthur's sword out of the stone.

However, he was spotted by a disgruntled England fan, who told the Sun: "John had more chance of lifting that sword than ever getting his hands on the World Cup."

Oh dear - perhaps given the team's prowess in South Africa, he would have been better wearing a dartboard (for target practice) or a donkey mask!

England crashed out of the tournament in the second round after a 4-1 defeat to the rampant Germans.
