Kate Moss has been pictured wearing historical fancy dress for her latest Vogue photoshoot.

The model is posing for the cover of the US version of the magazine wearing a billowing purple frock reminiscent of a medieval princess.

In the editorial, she discusses her love for all things romantic and even her liking of the fashions in My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

She also revealed that the inspiration behind her own bridal outfit - designed for her by John Galliano - came from the 1920s era.

"I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus - that light and that kind of fun decadence. It's rock 'n' roll Great Gatsby!," Moss laughed.

The supermodel married Jamie Hince in the Cotswolds earlier in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star has reported that Moss is keen to become friends with showbiz newcomer Cher Lloyd.

A source told the newspaper she likes singing along to Swagger Jagger and thinks the young pop star shares her fiery attitude.
