Hugh Hefner, the original Playboy, has confirmed that London's Playboy Club, which was a huge hit in the 1960s, will be open for business again this weekend.
The club first dazzled audiences in 1966, a year after a number of similarly-exclusive venues cropped up around the US in the early part of the decade.
By 1986 - two decades rep later - the London Playboy Club shut up shop and the British bunnies disbanded. But, the passion for everything Playboy has remained despite the closure and the reopening of the club this Saturday (June 4th) is likely to shed new light on the gold mine that is sexy fancy dress.
There is a huge array of Playboy costumes available, not just the traditional Playboy Bunny outfit - although this is still a sexy fancy dress party staple.
The latest items to be added to Escapade's roster, for example, are the Adult Fairy Costume and the Adult Tavern Girl, both of which have that trademark sexy vibe.
While these aren't perfect for every fancy dress occasion, they are just the tip of the Playboy iceberg.
If the theme for your next fancy dress party is ancient Greece and you want to look more glamorous than gladiator, why not opt for the Greek Goddess Costume - another new addition.
Or there's the Playboy Sparkle Witch Costume for Halloween parties, the Playboy Shepherdess Costume for 'dream job' themed soirees and let's not forget the sultry Playboy Swashbuckler Costume for any gathering that takes its inspiration from the latest Pirates of the Caribbean flick - one of the most popular themes at the moment.
And for the guys there's the exclusive Hugh Hefner Smoking Jacket.
So love him or loathe him, Hugh Hefner has proved at least one thing - fancy dress can be sexy.
Incidentally, British fashion expert Marchesa, which has been behind the look of many a red carpet A-lister, has created the Playboy Bunny outfits for the opening night of the new club.
