People who like wearing Halloween fancy dress and indulging in a night of fright each October 31st may want to head to Tunbridge Wells this year.
Groombridge Place is hosting a special event between October 23rd and 31st 2010 that will delight kids and adults alike, Only Kent reports.
Pirate fancy dress will be one of the star attractions, as the infamous smuggler Dr Syn and his evil companion Megilante will hide in the Enchanted Forest, waiting to be caught by the authorities.
There will also be ghost hunting, terrifying tales and pumpkin decorating to make this Halloween really spooktacular.
For mums and dads who want a break from the scary stuff, the formal gardens - which were the setting for some of the scenes in the film version of Pride and Prejudice - will also be open, showcasing exotic plants and traditional English varieties.
They were designed by John Evelyn in the 17th century and could provide a nice autumnal walk while the children get on with Halloween activities.
