Day Of The Dead Make Up

DAY-OF-THE-DEAD-MAKEUP-TUTORIAL-MAIN-IMAGE Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico to honour their deceased loved ones during the chilly days of November 1 & 2.  Locals believe that the gates of heaven open at midnight on October 31, and the deceased spirits are allowed to reunite with their families. To  support the weary spirits, beautiful altars are made in each home and are decorated with candles, flowers, food and special Day of the Dead bread.  Sugar skulls and skeletons provide colourful decoration. This Halloween why not become a real life Day of the Dead sugar skull?! Follow this tutorial to add the much needed elaborate finishing touches to your Day of the Dead costume. For a dead person you're going to look pretty good!

THE FINISHED LOOK

Doesn't our model look sorrowfully spooky? We almost feel sorry for her lost soul! This "Day of the Dead " character look can be completed with any of our Day of the Dead Costumes, but this facial effect can be used on its own, or to compliment a Skeleton costume.
