As if otherworldly spirits destroying their crops were not enough for the Celt’s to deal with the steam roller empire of the Roman’s had conquered the majority of their land by A.D. 43. The Roman’s ruled Celtic land for nearly 400 years and during this period two of their own festivities became intertwined in the makeup of Samhain; Feralia and a second day to honour the goddess Pomona.
