Fans of 1970s fancy dress will be in their element in Kingston next week when a themed party night boogies on down to a local pub.Dancing Queen at the Rose Theatre will be held on Monday (July 26th 2010) and anyone hoping to go is encouraged to wear platforms and flares for a great evening of entertainment.
An Abba tribute act will also be on-hand to provide some of the music for the night, with a fancy dress competition sure to generate some friendly rivalry.
According to the Kingston Guardian, ex-EastEnder John Altman will be one of the judges and the winner will take home a bottle of bubbly.
This event could be ideal for rock chick Jo Wood, who recently told the Telegraph that she loves trying on retro fancy dress with her best friend at the weekends and went to Naomi Campbell's birthday in a '70s-themed costume.
