Avengers: Endgame is out on general release on 25th April 2019 in the UK, and the film has bought plenty of fanfare with it. In China, pre-sales tickets broke box office records. In India, Avengers: Endgame has all the blockbusting characteristics of a Rajinikanth movie. Film and ticket websites considered Avengers: Endgame to be one of 2019’s most hotly anticipated film.

And it’s not hard to see why Avengers is so popular. Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth reprise their roles as Captain America, Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel), Iron Man, Black Widow and Thor respectively. The star-studded cast also includes Bradley Cooper playing Rocket, Danai Gurira playing Okoye and Jeremy Renner playing Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye, Ronin). Oh, and who can forget Mark Ruffalo playing the mighty Hulk (Bruce Banner)!? Black Panther also makes an appearance, as do Doctor Strange and Spider-Man in his Stark-designed Iron Spider suit! This makes Endgame literally bursting at the seams with superheroes intent on taking down Thanos’ power.

To add the cherry to the Marvel fan’s sundae, the film length is an epic 3 hours 1 minute. That’s a supreme amount of superhero action, and is sure to whet almost any filmgoer’s appetite. Plus, everyone wants to know what happens after the shocking finale of Infinity Wars. Whose theory is most correct? Who has the Holmesian nous to figure out what role each of the characters will play in the saga? Will Thanos be defeated, or will he get to wipe out more of the universe? And most importantly of all, will Hulk (and Thor as well) get his chance for a rematch with Thanos?

There’s so many questions, and comic book and superhero film lovers everywhere are itching to find out what the answers are.  Maybe you can get a Thanos costume and a Hulk costume and enact how such a fight would go, which might help give you some insight prior to watching the film! Alternatively, you could get your crew together and dress up in the Avengers’ Team Suit and show a united front!

Of course, the Avengers (and pretty much most Marvel films) like to make surprise introductions of characters, sometimes obviously so and sometimes in more subdued initial appearances, only to play a larger part later on in the saga. Needless to say, we here at Escapade will be keeping an eye out for who the next batch of heroes may be for when the Infinity Saga wraps up.
There is little doubt that Avengers: Endgame will be some of the most fun you can have in the cinema this year. Plenty of action, the wrapping up of an 11-year run of films comprised of 22 separate parts, all focusing on each of the superheroes’ individual stories. And finally, when they all decide to get over their petty differences and work together to fight villains beyond the powers they fight on Earth. Get the popcorn ready. This is going to be one great piece of entertainment.
