The most exciting of all Marvel events is happening next week and here at Escapade we just cannot wait! Yes, that’s it, Avengers: Infinity War is out and we will finally get to watch Earth’s most powerful superheroes take on the Mad Titan, Thanos. Featuring over 60 characters, this will include all of our favourites from Captain America to Spiderman, Hulk to Black Widow and many more and will also mark the 10
th anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So for all you Marvel fanatics out there, we thought we would take the time to share 5 interesting facts about Avengers: Infinity War!
Thanos will dominate the film
Yes, that’s right, lead villain Thanos has many hidden depths which will be revealed in the new movie and according to co-director Joe Russo, we are yet to discover just how interesting and complex a villain he really is. Be prepared for Thanos to steal the stage, owning this new movie as he becomes the main character and the villain to end all villains.
You may have noticed that one of the few criticisms of Marvel movies is that its villains are often two dimensional and lack depth, however, be prepared for that to change. Whilst Thanos may have been one of Marvel’s earliest baddies, he has also been given more time to develop. You can, therefore, expect a villain that’s more dynamic than ever before
There will be a big focus on the Infinity Stones
Thanos is on the lookout for the infinity stones to insert into the Infinity Gauntlet and give him ultimate power over the universe. There are six of them and so far we have seen five including Loki’s Scepter/Vision (Mind Stone), the Tesseract (Space Stone), the Aether (or Reality Stone), The Time Stone, the Orb (Power Stone) leaving just the Soul Stone to be revealed. But where on the universe could this stone possibly be?
One theory suggests that the Soul stone is in Heimdall's eyes which are Orange whilst another theory speculates that each of the other stones were found in a location whereby the beginning letter of each location helps to spell out Thanos. The Space Stone was discovered in the Tesseract, the Reality Stone in the Aether, the Time Stone in the Eye of Agamotto, the Power Stone in an Orb and the Mind Stone in Loki's Scepter. Does this mean that the Soul Stone would need to be connected to the letter H? I guess we will just have to wait and see...
Nebula to continue her transition from villain to hero
Nebula is said to be making friends in this new Avenger’s movie and for one will be interacting with someone other than Gamora, someone who shares her goals and is on a mission to kill Thanos and save the Earth and the Galaxy as a whole.
Iron Man’s new suit suggests Stark will be facing some pretty heavy trauma
It looks as though Iron Man’s new suit in Avengers: Infinity War is a morphing nanotech variant, named the Bleeding Edge Armour The Metroid-style gun arm as part of the suit suggests that Tony will be losing his right arm and with Thor losing his eye and all this will make Tony the second Avenger in under a year to lose a major body part. Whilst this is just a theory recent posters and trailers point to this evidence revealing the pattern that one again Marvel wants us to know that no one is safe.
