Should you want more of a Resident Evil-style theme, you could go dressed in a bloody biohazard suit to indicate that an experiment has gone horribly, horribly wrong somewhere.
Or, if you're planning a kids' party and don't want to be dealing with nightmares right up until Christmas, a benign inflatable pumpkin fancy dress outfit could be right up your (Nightmare on Elm) street.
