Halloween fancy dress gives Good Samaritans a fright

Halloween fancy dress caused a bit of a stir in Oregon recently after a minor car accident near Portland. According to KGW News, a group of motorists lost control of their vehicle on Interstate 84 over the weekend and it rolled over by the side of the road. Onlookers ran to help the driver and his passengers and were horrified to see what looked like terrible injuries to the party. However, shock turned to relief after they realised that the group was actually on their way to a costume party and were wearing very realistic zombie fancy dress. "We're glad that everyone is alive, despite being 'undead'," laughed investigating officer Sergeant Greg Stewart afterwards. This is not the first incident in which fancy dress has fooled onlookers - earlier this week, we reported that retro taxi driver costumes for a TV show had led to attempted bookings from confused locals.
