More of you seemed to be shunning expensive restaurants in favour of staying in with some sexy fancy dress this Valentine's Day, if our new figures are anything to go by.
After looking at sales trends from the end of January until this week, we noticed that more risque costumes were dispatched during this timeframe than during the whole of last year.
As usual, the most popular item ordered was Princess Leia Slave Girl fancy dress, but police and firemen's uniforms also proved to be sought-after by guys.
However, an interesting addition to the sexy costume parade was referee fancy dress for girls, which saw a sudden spike in sales - could this have been due to the Andy Gray sexism scandal?
Our own Bhupendra Maisuria put the growing trend for dressing up down to the economy: "People are looking to save some money by staying in on Valentine's Day and it appears that they are buying sexy fancy dress costumes to make an extra special evening of it."
This comes after recent research from the Wine & Spirit Trade Association found that consumers are now willing to spend more on a bottle of wine to drink at home, with 30 per cent of buyers splashing out £7 or above.
