Anyone who loves superhero fancy dress should get themselves down to Twickenham on May 23rd 2010.

As part of the London Sevens rugby event, the organisers have announced that they hope to break a Guinness World Record for the largest number of people in superhero fancy dress in the stands.

The current record is 1,016, but with 50,000 tickets for the event already sold, it is hoped that enthusiastic rugby fans will be able to smash it easily.

England Sevens captain Ben Gollings told Sky Sports that he loves the carnival-like atmosphere at London Sevens, especially when plenty of people turn up in superhero fancy dress.

"The crowd has so much of an involvement, they really get stuck in. I think they have just as much fun off the field as we have on it," he commented.

For the ultimate superhero outfit, you just can't beat Bananaman.

He's a great flashback to the '80s and we'd love to see him on the cameras at Twickenham later this month!
