Gotham City has Batman, New York City is looked after by both Spiderman and Superman and - not to be left out - Tunbridge Wells now also has its very own superhero.
Distressed by a lack of community spirit in the area, an unnamed 25-year-old has taken to patrolling the streets in a ninja costume, helping old ladies across roads, rescuing cats and preventing loutishness.
Calling himself the Neighbourhood Ninja of Tunbridge Wells, the vigilante insists he is a "grand master" of the Japanese martial art.
"I am inspired by Neighbourhood Watch, which people seem to have forgotten about, so I've created Ninja Watch," he told the Kent Courier.
Even people the superhero has helped have admitted he looks a bit odd in his all-black costume.
Meanwhile, Simon Wilshaw of Kent Police has warned that the force does not condone citizens taking the law into their own hands.
After all, with great power comes great responsibility...
