Join In On World Zombie Day on October 8th 2016!

OK, so it’s a bit before Halloween, but who can resist the urge to become a part of a zombie horde and maraud their way through London? (Please note: eating brains along the way is optional, but highly recommended - passers-by must learn of the dangers zombies present.) The event is free to join, and one of the purposes is to raise money for the homelessness charity St. Mungo’s Broadway. Oh, and did we mention that this event started life in 2006 at Monroeville Mall, the main site for the filming of one of the greatest films the United States ever produced - George A. Romero’ Dawn of the Dead? So, carry on with the tradition and keep this most unholy of days going!

That’s right - a truly old-school matinee of three of yesteryear’s greatest comedy-horrors. So get your green makeup on and get ready to swallow some souls! Zombie Strippers

La Danse Macabre at the Clapham Grand

Friday 28th October 2016 sees the mightily infamous Rumpus crew and The Last Tuesday Society - who organise one of London’s biggest and best costume parties - take over the Clapham Grand. Of this there is no doubt: this will be one of the craziest Halloween parties around, and you will probably see some of the most amazing costumes worn by some of the most creative people in London. There will be live music, DJs, cabaret and circus acts a-plenty! Get on it while you can! The Grand

London Comic Con

The ExCel Centre sees every fanboy’s and fangirl’s annual calendar fixture in London Comic Con. This year, it happens to be taking place over the Halloween weekend (that’s between Friday 28th October and Sunday 30th October), so expect to see a few more horror-themed costumes there than usual. There’s also the Comic Con Mega Party, which will likely have a huge comic book and anime theme running through it. jokerandharleyjpg

Fright night at Thorpe Park

So it isn't Central London but it is close enough! This event is held at the amusement park every year and holds many themed  live action scare maze's such as a Cabin in The woods themed maze where you choose your own fate as well as a Blair witch-themed maze where you can venture into the black hills woods to discover the horrors and truth of the legendary Blair Witch. If that isn't enough they even have a ghost train, crafted by the mastermind of mind control - Derren Brown! Be prepared for a full 12 hours of thrills with the park open from 10am-10pm and all the mazes open at 3pm. Dress up and expect to scream out a lung while riding their terrifying rollercoaster in the dark. There is even a Thorpe Park hotel, so you can drop dead in bed straight after the park closes. fright-night-map-thorpe-park   So there we have it - five of London’s most awesome Halloween events. Some of us here at Escapade may well just be attending some of these events, so we hope to see you there!
