British people seem to be shunning the gym and Zumba-ing their way to fitness instead, if new figures are anything to go by.
The computer game Zumba Fitness has now earned its third week at the top of the UK games charts, with sales for the Xbox Kinect version up by 14 per cent in the past week.
However, the Wii remains the most popular way to Zumba, accounting for 90 per cent of all Zumba Fitness sales.
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Crysis 2, Fifa 11 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour were all beaten to the top spot in the all-formats chart by the fitness title.
According to Zumba.com, this kind of dance is Latin-inspired and blends "red-hot international music" with "contagious steps" to form a fitness-party that is "downright addictive".
It now has more than 12 million people participating worldwide and was first launched in 2001.
