It sounds unlikely, but Dracula fancy dress may prove to be more popular than Twilight costumes this October 31st.
A new poll carried out by sci-fi magazine SFX has seen the Transylvanian count voted as the top screen vampire of all-time, beating all the young bloodsuckers we are seeing on our screens at present.
Second place went to Spike from Buffy the Vampire slayer, while Angel from the same programme managed third position.
Eric Northman from True Blood made an appearance in sixth place, but Edward Cullen from the Twilight series could only manage 14th on the list!
In fact, if the poll of 8,000 fans is anything to go by, Count Duckula fancy dress costumes could be a popular choice this Halloween. The vegetarian cartoon character was voted as the ninth favourite screen vampire, proving that cult classics are a great choice when it comes to outfits.
Count Duckula was first aired in 1988 and follows the adventures of the reluctant vampire as he tries to find fame and fortune, accompanied by his butler Igor and the loveable but bumbling Nanny.
