Fans of the film The Sound of Music in Lancaster are no doubt getting their nun fancy dress ready for a night of entertainment this weekend.

The city's Dukes Theatre is to host Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music on Sunday (May 23rd), an event which is sure to have the audience dancing in the aisles, the Lancaster Guardian reports.

For the uninitiated, there will be a screening of the famous film complete with subtitles so people can sing along whenever the mood takes them.

The organiser also provide props for the audience to use at certain points throughout, leading to a very raucous night indeed!

Not only this, but anyone who goes along in fancy dress costumes will be invited onto the stage to be judged for the chance to win a prize.

Obviously you could don your best nun outfit if you're going along - but for added amusement, you could also wear a Goat Mask and pretend you're part of Maria von Trapp's herd!
