There will be even more superhero fancy dress on show at football grounds than normal in the coming weeks, as it is the time of year when fans head to the match in costumes.

A group of Rangers fans stole a march on supporters of other clubs by dressing up in superhero fancy dress for the game at Hibs on Sunday.

Photos in the Scottish Sun showed the lads dressed as Batman, Robin, Bananaman and the Thunderbirds. Perhaps they chose the costumes to reflect their team's heroics in winning the SPL title - although if that is the case, we aren't sure what the fan wearing only a pair of Superman briefs was thinking of!
