It has been rumoured that Adam West, the original star of the Batman TV series, is to make a guest appearance in the new movie The Dark Knight Rises.
Scenes are currently being shot in Nottingham - where Wollaton Hall is masquerading as Wayne Manor - and locals have taken to Twitter to report sightings of the 82-year-old.
One said he spotted West in a pub and asked followers if they had heard anything to suggest he might feature in the final cut.
Floss magazine then claimed via the social networking site that West had been confirmed for a cameo on The Dark Knight Rises by Hollywood bigwigs.
However, there has been no official word from director Christopher Nolan, who has already sworn his actors to secrecy over the film.
We do know that it is to star Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, though.
It was confirmed back in January 2011 that Hathaway is to play Catwoman.
