Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort and the White Witch from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe are two of the characters set to be immortalised in a new set of commemorative stamps from the Royal Mail.
In its new Magical Realms collection, the organisation pays tribute to some of the most memorable fantasy characters from film and literature, with JK Rowling's Lord Voldemort and Professor Dumbledore taking up two of the designs.
Aslan the lion and Tilda Swinton as the White Witch also make an appearance, as do witch Nanny Ogg from Discworld and Arthurian wizard Merlin.
"We decided to look at the myths and legends of King Arthur, the Narnia stories of CS Lewis, JK Rowling's Harry Potter series and the Discworld of Sir Terry Pratchett," explained a spokesperson.
The Royal Mail releases new sets of these stamps every month, with other examples from this year including the Royal Shakespeare Company and the World Wildlife Fund.
