It has been announced that the 42nd season of Sesame Street is to feature a guest list of celebs that would put a Hollywood awards night to shame.
A press release from the producers states that Nicole Kidman, Robin Williams, Liev Schreiber, Amy Adams, Seth Rogan, Sofia Vergara, Naomi Watts and Mila Kunis are all to go along and take part in sketches with the programme's equally famous characters.
There will also be plenty more sports stars and musicians popping up on the show to help kids learn about reading, counting and being a good citizen.
This time, the focus will be on science, technology, engineering and maths too, to ensure it corresponds with the American curriculum.
In 2009, Sesame Street celebrated its 40th anniversary and a host of celebrations took place to mark the occasion, with first lady Michelle Obama even getting into the spirit. She talked about healthy eating when she popped in for a guest appearance.
One road in New York was even renamed Sesame Street for a few days in the programme's honour - tourists flocked to 64th Street and Broadway on the West Side to take photos of the spectacle at the time.
However, the kids' show has not been immune to controversy, despite its innocence and promotion of family values. An HIV-positive puppet was once introduced, while its creators have also strived to make sure they have plenty of multi-cultural puppets to reflect society.
Of course, there has also been the ongoing are-they, aren't-they debate over whether or not Bert and Ernie are gay, just because they happen to live together and go to sleep in the same bed at night.
The debate reared up again recently when it emerged that a petition had been launched by Illinois resident Lair Scott urging Sesame Street producers to allow the two characters to marry.
