  • Anyone struggling for fresh ideas for a Halloween fancy dress party could take inspiration from a new event in Washington.

    Seattle is to host its first ever ZomBCon next month, which aims to celebrate all things undead.

    Taking place between October 29th and 31st 2010, it will include screenings of popular films like Dawn of the Dead, as well as plenty of opportunities to party in costumes and pretend to eat brains.

  • Halloween fancy dress caused a bit of a stir in Oregon recently after a minor car accident near Portland.

    According to KGW News, a group of motorists lost control of their vehicle on Interstate 84 over the weekend and it rolled over by the side of the road.

    Onlookers ran to help the driver and his passengers and were horrified to see what looked like terrible injuries to the party.

  • A festival in Hertfordshire is hoping to break a record for the biggest number of people in zombie fancy dress this August.

    The Big Chill festival has teamed up with Film 4, Danny Boyle and Warp films in an attempt to claim the Guinness World Record on August 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th 2010.

    As an added incentive, the frighteningly-attired participants will be filmed for a short movie about the event.
