The time of year is approaching again for yet another excuse to dress up and party. St Patrick ’s Day falls on the 17
th March and to celebrate there will be plenty of lively Irish themed events all over London in honour of Ireland’s patron saint. So let’s go greener than ever and embrace four-leaf clovers whilst drinking all the Guinness we possibly can. Here are our top 5 ways to celebrate in London this year:
St Patrick’s Day Parade-Piccadilly Circus to Trafalgar Square-Friday 16th-Sunday 18th March-12pm onwards-Free
The London St Patrick’s day parade takes place throughout the streets of Piccadilly Circus right through to Trafalgar Square. Expect a three-day extravaganza from the 16
th-18
th March with the main event falling on the 18
th and consisting of Leprechaun floats, Irish dancers and traditional musicians as well as a street food market and even a ‘tea tent’.
St Patrick’s Day pub crawl with free shots included! Club 49, 49 Greek Street Soho, W1D 4EG-Thursday 15th March-Saturday 17th March.
Head on down to Soho for the wildest pub crawl of them all! This event is great fun for students and includes Free entry to four venues in central London with a welcome drink in the first bar, a welcome shot in all the other bars and discounted drinks including beer and vodka mixers for just £3. What’s more is that you will get to queue jump at all venues and there will be a professional photographer to capture all the best moments. That means dress to impress! Tickets are just £12 and the event will be kicking off at Club 49 in Soho from 8pm.

Get ready for a night of laughter with a fantastic night of stand-up comedy in Covent Garden. Expect an all Irish line-up of comedians including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow Star, Keith Farnan, Conor Drum and Grainne McGuire, not to mention Ryan McDonnell as MC.
You can purchase a standard ticket for £16, a 'Pizza Express Package' which includes two courses and a glass of wine or beer at Pizza Express for £32 or the 'Leicester Square Kitchen Party Package' which includes reserved seating and three courses at Leicester Square Kitchen for £36.

th but that doesn’t mean the party can’t start early and at Paddy’s Bingo Club, you can expect something a little different with a memorable night of bingo full of plenty of surprises. To make things even better, this event raises money for Depaul, a charity with a mission to end homelessness. Fancy dress is optional but why wouldn’t you? Ha-ha. Time to don the four-leaf clovers and get lucky at Bingo, with a few dance offs in-between of course.
This event will be taking place at the Old Brewery with doors opening at 7pm and they are even offering 20% off food and drinks for students.
