World Book Day!

World Book Day Costumes!

Be inspired this World Book day!

On 3rd March 2016, people across the land will be dressing up as their favourite storybook characters. From the old classics to the brand new! World Book day is a charity event held annually in the United Kingdom promoting reading, publishing and copyrighting. This will be the 19th annual World Book Day! The idea is to bring children and adults of all ages together to appreciate their favourite storybooks. Book tokens and resource packs are sent out to nurseries, pre-school, primary and secondary schools including different materials to learn how to get involved in World Book Day.

How it works

The National Book Tokens Ltd, publishers and booksellers giveaway millions of book vouchers to more than 14 million children and young people. The vouchers can then be redeemed at local bookstores to pick up one of ten new books for FREE! Alternatively they can use their token to get £1 off any book over £2.99 (terms apply). If you’re looking to get involved, then head over to the World Book Day website and download your resource pack online. In celebration of world book day, students and teachers dress up as their favourite characters. So we asked our team at Escapade what they are going to wear and here’s our list so far!
