A youngster won an award for his superhero fancy dress after taking part in an event to raise money for charity recently.
According to the South Yorkshire Star, Year Seven pupil Danny Wilkins was among scores of children involved in a sponsored walk to generate cash for fellow pupil Amy Kennedy, who suffers from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
Danny did his ten laps of the school fields in Superman fancy dress and was voted to be the best effort on the day, which saw lots of youngsters attend in novelty costumes.
The staff from the Dunham School council all sported animal fancy dress costumes for the sponsored walk, which it is hoped with generate around £3,000.
This kind of event could be ideal when it comes to raising money, particularly if you work at a school. Why not try a Halloween or Christmas-themed event and come up with an activity for pupils to take part in soon?
