The Holly Golightly costume sported by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's has been deemed to be the best ever movie fancy dress by one film buff.
Kieran Murphy of the University Observer said the little black dress designed by Givenchy defined the actress's style for the rest of her career and deserves its place in his ultimate chart.
"This will remain one of the most potent fashion moments in movie history," he commented.
Meanwhile, the Joker fancy dress worn by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight was ranked in second by Kieran.

A recent survey at Escapade found that villain fancy dress is outselling superhero fancy dress, so perhaps plenty of other people share Kieran's opinion on the Joker!
