We love events that are a little bit off-centre, so we were thrilled to hear that a host of people are to don sexy fancy dress in order to take part in Gay Sports Day later this summer.The 2010 Royal Vauxhall Tavern Gay Sports Day is set to take place in Lambeth on Monday August 30th 2010 and it promises to be a fun day out for anyone who likes a laugh.
In lieu of traditional events, teams of five are invited to participate in contests like the 50-metre mince, the drag relay and the handbag throw.
There will be prizes on offer for the winning competitors, as well as for those deemed to have sported the best sexy fancy dress.
All the money will go towards gay men's health charity GFMA, so it's for a very good cause.
Last year, the fancy dress prize was won by the Bette Miler team, but there were also some very good cavemen fancy dress costumes, apparently.
If you're thinking of going along, there are a range of other outfits you could choose, from The Village People to Little Britain's Daffyd - although you certainly won't be the only gay in the village!
