1, Cheers 'N' Beers Costume

Paddy1   Did you know St. Patrick's day used to be a 'dry' holiday? For most of the 20th century, Saint Patrick’s Day was considered a strictly religious holiday in Ireland, meaning that the pubs were closed on March 17th. However one exception went to beer vendors at the big national dog show, which was always held on Saint Patrick’s Day. In 1970, the day was converted to a national holiday. This is one of the biggest time of the year for bars and pubs all over the world, in 2015 a report estimated a whopping $4.6 billion was spent in the U.S alone!  

2, Shamrock Suit Costume

  There’s a reason for the shamrocks! According to Irish legend, the saint used the three-leafed plant as a metaphor for the Holy Trinity when he was first introducing Christianity to Ireland.  

3, Luscious Leprechaun Costume

paddy8   There are no female leprechauns! Don’t be fooled, in traditional Irish folk tales, there are no female leprechauns, only smartly dressed short men.  

4, Ireland Flag Tunic

paddy9   St Patrick's Day or no St Patrick's Day, shake your shamrock, kiss me because I’m Irish and make everyone feel green! Buzz kill fact alert: Did you know that Saint Patrick wasn't Irish? He was actually born in Roman Britain, when he was around fourteen years old, he was captured by Irish pirates and taken to as a slave to herd and tend sheep.  

5, Charming Leprechaun

  Enjoy a good time with friends and drink the night away with this beer keg costume! On St. Patrick's Day, the World runs up quite a bar tab... All of the Saint Patrick’s Day celebration around the globe is great news for bar & pub owners. A 2018 estimate said the total amount spent on beer for Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations at $4.6 billion, in the U.S alone! Not including tips... Crazy right?!  

6, Irish Velvet Green Hat

paddy6   Traditionally it's said that the colour blue was associated with St. Patrick's day, however over time green took over due to Ireland's nickname as "The Emerald Isle", the green in the Irish flag and the clover that St. Patrick used.
