    A new show based on the Batman story is set to tour the UK, beginning in Manchester in July 2011, it has been revealed.

    Batman Live is billed as a stage spectacular by creators DC Comics and is set to feature action, adventures and explosions.

    However, anyone hoping to see the Caped Crusader singing might be disappointed, as its creators were quick to point out it isn't a musical.

    Fans of comic book superhero the Green Lantern are no doubt eager to see Ryan Reynolds kicking some baddies' behinds when the he stars in the new movie that hits our cinema screen soon.

    However, he has shown he can be caring as well as heroic, speaking out to raise money for The Michael J Fox Foundation (MJFF) for Parkinson's Research, MTV reports.

    Fox is a well-known sufferer of the disease and Reynolds has said he is determined to help the charity's Facebook page

    The superhero costume Captain America wore in the TV movie from 1979 has been voted as the worst ever donned by any comic book hero by one website.

    Mania.com said that while actor Reb Brown was a good size to play the patriotic goodie, he was let down by what he had to wear.

    "He wears a motorcycle helmet, he has vertical red and white stripes and his shield was a cheap piece of clear Plexiglas," the article pointed out.
